"Order in Chaos"

Collection of abstract original paintings by Kasia Kreçicka, 2023

Artist Statement

“Order in Chaos” is a powerful body of work born from my personal experience as a new mother. Amidst the overwhelming chaos and scattered thoughts, art became my solace and renewed purpose. This collection embodies the transformative power of creativity, acting as both a therapeutic outlet for my tired body and weary mind, and a visual testament to the resilience of the human spirit.

Driven by the contrasting emotions I encountered during this transformative period, “Order in Chaos” reflects the profound duality of my experiences. Softness and hardness, fluidity and solidity, lightness and darkness coexist and intertwine, creating a delicate interplay. Within this intricacy, I discovered a sense of order and harmony amidst the chaos, which I translated onto the canvas.

The visual representation of this collection is deeply rooted in the contrast and duality that shapes my perception. I utilize contrasting elements as tools to express complex emotions and narratives. Brushstrokes oscillate between soft and hard, converging fluid and structured forms. The interplay of light and dark adds depth and dimension, mirroring the interplay of emotions within myself.

“Order in Chaos” invites viewers to immerse themselves in the visual translation of my personal story, fostering a connection and shared understanding. Through evocative brushwork and the interplay of contrasting elements, this collection captures the transformative journey of new motherhood, revealing a sense of order and serenity emerging from chaos. Embrace the duality of emotions and discover your own connection within the intricate tapestry of the human experience.
